I am struggling to see how this fits as mine did not have one the genuine panel number is 14A8995

Right, the very end of the panel fits on the opposite side under the B pillar
And it should all look like this once installed.

Inner sill stiffener, thisis spot welded to the top of the inner sill in the companion bin and runs under the B Post. The other end is welded to the arch close out.
