Rev Counter Question

Broke the needle on my 89 rev counter a few years ago.
Will this rev counter work Ok? Connectors look the same as the mini. Think it came out of and mgb or similar.

If this rev counter works OK, it will work OK.

 

If you only broke the needle of yours, but the boss is intact, cut a needle from a piece of card and glue it.

I did connect it earlier but needle didn't move. The green and orange wire had 12v and the black and white is connected to the signal. And earthed the casing.

Why not send your original back to Caerbont (Smiths) for a new needle.

Just thought I'd mention that with a good soak of wd40 electrical contact cleaner my rev counter is re-born!
