Hi everyone.

After trying for way too long to remove a stubborn flywheel assembly, resulting in stripping the flywheel pullers thread. We decided to angle grind it off. Eventually with just a pop the assembly was free from the crankshaft, in the process though we have nicked the taper when angle grinding.

Is this now scrap, or could it be salvaged?

That's ugly and not just from the hit with the grinder.

 

It might clean up with a few hours and a diamond lap. I'd be doing that first.

 

What type of engine is it ?

Start looking for another engine.
