Hello

Well being a fan of minis all my life and always wanting one, I finally took the plunge.

I bought myself an 1993 spi cooper in British racing green. It had be dry stored and sorn for past 5 years so i didn’t think it would have taken much to get back on the road.

Cut a long story short, I bought new rear subframe, brakes, drums, and everything to renew allthe lines and rusty bit underneath.

While left in to get bits fitted that’s when found that it had oversills fitted and rear sub mount points all rusted and heel board (not what I wanted to hear).

As I didnt want patch jobs or small bits painted, my plan is strip it down to frame for full respray and panels replaced if needed and full nut and bolt rebuild.

I have learnt so much already in space of 3 months while stripping it and it has been like and addiction working on it.

Can’t wait till I have it on road next year!! :)
