How do you remove this battery terminal

If you are asking how the terminal is attached to the cable ?.................they are usually hydraulically crimped.

 

Heat will melt the lead, but even with wet cloth wrapped round the cable, the plastic insulation distorts.

I'd just cut the cable right next to the terminal.  Why do you want to remove it?

Blow lamp in the boot, fuel tank in the vicinity, I would rather not....

:lol:  Fuel tank has been out for weeks, probably be back some time 2021 rate I am getting this done!!

 

My wife keeps reminding me it is supposed to be a 'hobby'......

Phew, wise move to remove the Tank...  bit of hassle but if you are doing a boot floor that's hassle anyway.. why not undo the cable at the solenoid end and feed the cable out through the boot. that way you keep that terminal in tact as I am pretty sure the connector at the solenoid end will fit through the boot floor hole... or... enlarge the boot hole maybe to get the terminal through
