Hi folks,

I'm currently stripping my pre A+ 1275 lump for a rebore etc. I've stripped the block (12G1279) bare but looking at the Mini Spares website I see in one of the exploded diagrams a seat bushing for the oil pressure relief valve. I've removed the valve but does this bushing come out? Do all blocks have this bushing? Do I need to remove (if fitted) as I'm having the block hot washed?

Regards Dave.

The seat is a press fit and can be removed by threading the inside and pulling it out. It can be presses back in after cleaning.

Cheers mate, I'll let the rebore place decide if they want to remove it I think, if it's a press fit it shouldn't fall out during the wash... O_O

There's a few 'hidden' nooks around the seat, in which often crud can hide. It would be a wise move to pull it for cleaning and inspection.
