A few weeks ago I was idly minding my own business at Brooklands museum (where I volunteer a bit) and ended up buying one of three Minis in the Historics auction taking place there that day.
I'm now the proud owner of a 1989 Mini Racing, which has been restored and cosmetically altered to look like an Italian Job mini.
Despite the excellent restoration, I have a long work list of things I want to change with the car over the winter, so I'll probably be asking quite a few questions here (some dumb, some less so ... perhaps).
I haven't worked on anything Mini related since my Dad and I struggled to get my Mum's nightmare of a Woseley Hornet on the road after she bought that absolute wreck when I was a teenager. Hoping for a more positive experience this time around.
Will.
