hey all

so I've got a 123ignition in my stage 1 998. the previous owner set it to the "A" setting which has 10 at 500-1000, then 20.3 at 2000rpm and 32 at 5000rpm advance.

I'm just wondering what the correct advance for an engine like mine would be?

I tried 2 other settings so far:
a) 10@1000rpm, 16.3@2000rpm, 30@5000rpm
b) 10@1000pm, 23.9@2000rpm, 34@5000rpm

my findings were interesting but not sure if correct so please let me know what you think. a) pulled very bad down low until around 3.5k, then good after that. proper 'bogging' was felt. b) felt good/better all around and better than what I had originally!
I am not sure about higher up as in the case of a), the low down power was so bad that every and anything felt amazing after 3-3.5k rpms.

would you advise more/less advance at 2000rpm and at 5000?

yes yes I know that 123ignitions has a list of configurations to each letter/number setting, but according to their list my mini fits in 5 or 6 of 16 possible settings....

thanks
