Hi,

I need at some point to do a drum to 7.5 disc conversion.
I’ll probably buy a complete kits but have spotted possibly some cheap cooper S callipers and also some disc hubs in another location.

Question what hubs do I need? Are disc hubs all the same or do the differ with the size of the calliper.

Also if buying second hand parts what are the original part numbers I need to look out for?

Many thanks

All disc hubs are the same Bill. You need drive flanges, discs, callipers and pads.

As Nicklouse says the disc and drum hubs are different shapes. The drive flanges are different from 7.5 to 8.4 disc and also the CV joints are different drum to disc

I’ll re-phrase that. You can use 8.4” hubs with 10” flanges. And as others have said you need the correct CVs.

And if you do get a second hand set you might need new ball joints, wheel bearings etc. Buying all the parts separately can add up more than buying the whole kit

I agree, I prefer to just buy all the parts new, then they all fit and work properly...Mini Sport has a complete kit pretty reasonably priced...
