Is there a steering wheel directory on TMF? Would love to see some examples.

I believe I am after a 340-350mm rally style wheel similar to the OMP one below. Its quite expensive so i was looking at a ebay one.. but having recently seen a video of a guy getting pretty unstuck because he had cheep equipment, i think that isnt an option.

I think the more likely option is the Mountney version from Mini Sport which is ok but i don't really like the modern looking center. I was wondering if you could do without the center..

I like steering wheels as they are pretty easy to change and make a big difference to the look and feel of the car..

I've also got a MOMO wheel which is the most comfortable when driving, but it looks a bit out of place in the Mk1. There's also a Maxrob (made in Australia) and a new Moto Lita that hasn't been on the car yet...oh and also an Autotecnica  :D

I use a Motolita wood semi-dished.

it's quite thin, similar to the mountney posted earlier in terms of confort I guess. :)

it's not as dished at the OMP. I would be concerned of too dished wheels, because, you know... not a big car :)

cheers!

I like the moto lita above but want 14". Not a huge fan of wood rim to be honest, don't like the feel of it after a long time at the wheel.

Good shout about the dish.

Moto-lita will make you one if you don't mind waiting a while (6 - 8 weeks I think for special orders..)

Always liked the quality of Moto wheels. I did wait a long time to get mine too. But it was worth it
