What’s the max kind of bhp a pair of twin H1 carbs can deliver?

Various searches online suggest that they were used on early 1098cc sprites as well as the earlier 948cc. Not sure this is true or not?

Anyone know the flow rate too versus a single HS2?

BHP, This will be an interesting thread.

Probably based on guesses ! Mine is 60

Top end max power would be the same whether single or twin unless the manifold for the single was awfullly designed ; only one inlet valve is open at a time and both types of set up are 1-1/8" bore but the torque and throttle response would probably be better with twins

So you get 60bhp through a set of 1 1/8” twin H1s?

What engine is this on?

I don't have any data on this size carb and I couldn't find any.

While I don't like steering traffic to another forum, you might do better asking on the MKI Forum.

I did post on the mk1 forum and the general consensus was not to use on anything more than a mildly tuned 850.

May just Vizard my HS2 instead to keep the originality there.

Only the original 948 Sprite MK1 (frogeye) had the H1 1 1/8" carbs, the 948 and 1098 Mk2 sprite and Mk1 Midget were HS2 1 1/4" carbs.

Most frogeye people fit the later HS2,s for a bit more power.
