Looking for some ideas on my '73 MK3, for routing of the front wiring loom, out by the grill.  My new loom seems

slightly different from the old, but just in some wrapping lengths, causing it to fall differently into the body tabs

that hold it in place (Yes, mine still exist!)

My problem lies in too much bulk trying to hide under the top crossmember that holds the top of the grill.  To match

up my dizzy connections, alternator, horn, etc., combined with the connectors for the lights---everything

seems to come to bear right where the hood latch has to move and will obviously chafe badly.

Is there a fair amount that just hangs free, hidden by the grill, instead of hiding/tucking away every single wire?  I don't want to do any splicing that isn't absolutely necessary, as this was made to fit and I'm worried my slack might be off somewhere.

At this point there's no way I could squeeze the dizzy shield back in there with everything else in the way.

I welcome suggestions or even a pic if you're happy with a new install you've done.

many thanks --Jeff
