Please can you look at these pictures and offer me your advice such as are there clues to hidden rust or do they look solid.

There is some surface rust there but nothing significant. When the underseal is off things would be clearer. Also what are the sills like??

 

Look inside the car especially the front footwells and inside the companion boxes

also, I’d pull the carpet back (if you can without doing damage) and take a good look at the trunk floor.

Whats the external panels like, especially around the front panel to wing seams (if its a roundnose) the scuttle ends, bottom of the doors, underneath the rear lights and rear valance.

Does look like its been looked after and underseal in good condition, also it looks like it has a car cover on it. as said boot floor pictures, is it oversills? also under carpet in footwells. 

ask for as many pictures as possible. if hes a serious seller he should send them to u.

Boot is immaculate and it has a carbon front end.

Small amount of rust in front of rear arches but not sure on exact location until get more pictures.

Its up in Scotlands and Im in Cheshire so trying to work out whether its worth the journey.

There are a few owners clubs up here, along with specialists who will be able to look over any mini for you

Picture 5 looks like an extended sill has been fitted, you can just see where it meets the existing floor.

 

Picture 4 the floor looks dented outwards, could just be a lot of weight from the front seat rear loops?

 

No pictures of the actual sills ...be good do see them as well.

To me that looks like the seam of an oversill complete with a rusty line it's entire length.

Would you buy a mini with a carbon front off someone that thought oversills were OK?!

Ultimately Iv got about 4k to spend ideally part ex for an R53 I currently have.

If you have any suggestions Id love to be pointed in the right direction.
