Fairly sure i've got one of these buried somewhere in the garage.... & NO! you can't have it :P

From memory i think it's a Lucas metal bodied 9H twin terminal snail horn, will be marked 69158 (high tone) or 69159 (low tone).

These & very similar Lucas horns were used on a host of early 70's vehicles but many people have replaced them with later metal or plastic body Lucas horns like these-

An aftershave??? :huh:  .... 'Snail Horn' by Alan Titmarsh: evoking the scent of freshly cut lettuce with subtle undertones of mollusc mucus & snail poop :blink:

 

To me 'Snail Horn' sounds more like an instrument for gathering the snail horde ready for battle.

"Sire the army is advancing on the enemy -very, VERY slowly"

I think that style didn't come out untill the 1980's.

Don't forget MK3 parts are more often than not different to later items, it's worth saving everything you can as someone will want original parts -even things like the door hinges & bonnet hinges were subtly different.
