Hi all had a recent mot failure on failed front mounts gonna go solid on them in the not too distant future. Only issue is 1 side came out easily as expected as the other has collapsed and I can’t get a socket on the front bolt. It’s not far off but still causing me bother.
Andy advice appreciated all other bolts out without issue just can’t get a socket through the front valance as it won’t line up.

Thanks in advance
Andy

Jack the subframe up or press the body up whichever is needed.

Body needs to go up. My only remaining thought is to undo the towers and jack across the floors? Maybe

I had this recently.
I loosened the tower bolt on but didnt remove it. Loosened the subframe that mounts to the floor pan then used a crow bar on the subframe tower(where it makes contact under baulkhead). Get an assistant to do this whilst you undo the teardrop bolt.
This worked a treat for me after suffering for hours with it!
If gaps uneven on the new teardrops you can buy slotted shims.
