To replace the sills I removed the door.The door post has a "fat" spot on it's side face approx50mm deep.This is obviously caused by rusting between double skins.Not being intimately familiar with minis how is this constructed so I can make an informed opinion on how to proceed.I do not want to embark on a restoration,but a sound repair.Thanks Steve..

Steve have a look at Project Paddy in my signature, about halfway through or a bit further you will see the build up.

Thanks for the pointers,I have kept this car going with Mot welding repairs for years as my son was always in a hurry and am trying now to undo some of them.You excellent sill guide was invaluable.Thanks Steve..

I couldn't get my head round how the A post was constructed and found this video on Youtube very helpful.
