Street car, 1360, 10.5:1 compression. Currently running a 13# cap. Would the mini cooling system like a 15# rad cap?

As standard, in the British market at least, I believe the 13lb caps were used when a 180oF thermostat was used and a 15lb cap when a 190oF 'stat was used.

realistically its not going to gain you anything, all it does is push the boiling point up a few degrees, using an onlin calculateor i get the below results for the boiling points

13lb cap   118deg c

15lb cap   120deg c

One problem is usually the length of the rad cap .. some are shorter and therefore don't seal properly .. meaning you lose your coolant when it heats up.

Std up to '74 13lb cap and from '74 onwards 15lb cap. Thermostat was 82c up until '76 and 88c after in the UK.
