1981 clubman estate

I am looking to switch out the speedometer on my clubman project. It has the original clubman style one with rpm gauge. I found a speedometer for sale that came out of a 1998 mini and want to know if it would be a simple plug and play or would there be a issue due to the extra warning lights on it.

well the Clubman never had the RPM gauge on it. so it sounds like it has had work done already. so it depends what was done before.

The 1998 rev counter may read wrong when connected to the earlier wiring. You can try it though but I've had it where they display double engine rpm

The MPI rev counter has to be altered . There's a post somewhere on here on what you need to do
