hi guys... after extensive looking into my loom, it's looking like its aged quite badly, with some off the wiring to the ecu plugs looking green or black and starting to break due to it being unwrapped and buggered about with by a previous tuner then wrapped back up with normal electrical tape... this i think is the source of my cutting out and in, so i  am going to look into getting a loom made to replace it, as I'm aware they aren't available new anymore... was just wondering how many other people are in the same position and if it might be something of interest as a group buy to try and get costs down overall?

regards

Martyn

Try South Lakes Mini's. You would need a lot of people interested in a group buy to bring the cost down to the £460 they retail for.

Easy enough to do it yourself, just copy what you already have. Everything you'll need should be available from the likes of Pole Volt (http://www.polevolt.co.uk) amd you'll need a good terminal crimping tool, there's a good value one available from Car Builder Solutions. The usual cable for harnesses is 1mm thin-wall.

By doing it yourself you'll set yourself up properly to repair/renew other areas of wiring that are probably in a very similar condition.
