Anyone have pictures of their 45 mm SC throttle body?
I was in the process of switching from a 50 mm to 45 mm and the components are different, like fuel rail. The 50 mm version I have is cast one piece and the 45 mm version is two piece machined made by AT Power.
Just looking to compare as the swap will not be as easy as I had hoped.

I am looking for the arrangement of the injectors and the fuel rail. On the 45 I have the injectors face the back of the car. It makes connecting them difficult. They cannot be turned around as they foul on the fuel rail. There has been an evolution of the TBs through the years. I am wondering if the fuel rails are interchangeable.
I have always questioned whether the engine I have really needs the 50, Calver GT head, 1.4 rockers, 274 cam. It is pretty mild. It runs rich in everyday driving, no matter what modifications I make.

I have the 45 and my injectors face forwards same as your 50. Have you tried swapping the rails as I believe they are interchangeable.

No, I was going to try that. It appears the spacer is a different length, but I think I can swap parts as needed.
If you look at their site, you can find pictures with both configurations.

Seem to be a few on here with rich running issues with the SC system? Starting to wonder if it’s a system for higher performance applications. My car is lightly modified, head ,rockers and manifolds, with the 45mm TB
I have had my car set up by Specialist control systems of Norwich, on SC recommendation and it’s still pretty rich & juicy.

If the SC ECU is programmable, why can't you just tune out it being over rich or do you need it rich to run smoothly

I can't really complain as it has been running for several years. last summer my wife and I took our two Travellers on an 1800 mile round trip to a mini meet. The engines are almost identical, MPi block, Typhoon II for ECU, Calver heads, 1.4 rockers 274 cams. But one has the SC kit and the other an HIF 44. They both ran very well and got in the mid-thirties MPG(US Gallons).
My thoughts are that with all the configuration that can be done, I should be able to get the injected car fine tuned. On a similar trip in a Rover MPi engined car, I would get 40 MPG.
I am not looking for peak HP numbers, just a well running car with moderate performance.

The fuel rails are interchangeable
PS: Only interchangeable one way. The one that was on the 45 will not fit on the 50 with out a spacer and even then the injectors are not positioned so that they can be connected.

If you need further setup I highly recommend efi parts. He setup mine great on part throttle / load scenarios
