I've got a set of Exacton/Mini Special wheels I'm planning to turn into split rims.. Are there any chrome wheel nuts available? I can only seem to find the silver ones which MiniSpares sell.

Thanks,

Will.

did not think the Special wheels had a taper seat. the washer is what hold the wheel in place.

I can only find the silver type that Mini Spares sell.

I’ve found that the plating on every set of chrome wheel nuts I’ve ever installed has began to peel or show rust within 12 months of road use.

If you want a real long term solution for shinny wheel nuts then you need to find somewhere to make you a set in stainless or get some real quality chrome work done. Neither are going to be affordable.

Hi Pete,

I've measured up the wheels I have and these nuts seem to be correct apart from being too long..

Are these what you purchased?

Otherwise I'm tempted to buy a set and machine them down the sleeve in the lathe...

Cheers.

Thanks heaps anyway Pete!

I'll give them a shot. I don't mind shortening the studs.

Cheers.
