I am guessing it is an imperial size.

 

and I am guessing it is 7/8”?

 

looking at getting a pillow block to run on it so just need to check I have it right.

Yes it is are a 'cheap' bush (from the upper column) that can also be used in the Australian Steering Racks

Nick, you may want to strip your column and make some measurements lengthwise on it. It's only the very top end of the column down to the steering lock that is 7/8" dia, below that, it's only 5/8" or 9/16" down to the Splined end fitting. You might need to make some 'adjustments' to where you were thinking of fitting the upper bearing, certainly around the parcel tray level, it will be a very poor fit.
