After a 15 year break from mini ownership, I'm now right in middle of restoring, fixing up my recently acquired 91 Rover Cooper.
This time round I'm learning. I want to do everything myself, except external paint. Sure I'll ******* it up at times, and some of you will laugh (or cry!)... But we all have to learn by our mistakes. Really keen on meeting some local mini nutters as well as being a positive contributor to this forum.

Hi, I'm Nick from Medway in North Kent. Bought a Clubman Estate for £75 and we spent £28k on a concurs winning restoration in time for Mini 45. Went broke shortly afterwards and sadly had to sell my pride and joy.

"Went broke shortly afterwards and sadly had to sell my pride and joy".
When I ran short of reddies in 1974, I had to sell a 2.2 litre Taunus/Saab gearbox transplant (no great loss) and my lovely week-end, Lilac and Turquoise, hot 1098, hydrolastic Mini, but what broke my heart was parting with my 1071, 970 and 1275 Ss.
