Is this the correct orientation for the connector and bracket?

The blue plug is definitely oriented 180 deg from how you have yours fitted.
Do you have the extra larger bracket that’s in my photo? The larger bracket bolts to the clutch housing via a hole that you can see in my photo, it’s underneath. I took the photo with the whole assembly upside down, the cable tie is there to remind me that the two brackets bolted together.
Pretty sure from memory it’s bolted on just to the right of where you gave it, but with a bolt in a vertical orientation rather than horizontal. The open end of the larger bracket points forwards towards the grill.

To add ... I think you have the plug oriented correctly but I’m pretty sure it’s the bracket that’s the wrong way round.
