Power / Revs Issue After Fitting New Exhaust..?

Change the primary gear oil seal whilst it's in bits, just leave the rust as long as it isn't a massive lip it will be ok.


I just use brake clean or paint thinners to clean the dust off

thanks for that. Just ordered the seal so hopefully can put it all back together next week.

 

when I add the clutch kit to the flywheel, does that need balancing, or does it just slot on? Cheers

The clutch will just bolt on without balancing, I try to fit the new parts in the same orientation and position as the old parts

The clutch will just bolt on without balancing, I try to fit the new parts in the same orientation and position as the old parts

DIY'er Question... Do i need to drain the engine oil before removing the seal?

I dont drain the oil but you can if you wish, just be careful if the engine falls to one side as it could leak.
