Well it worked properly for a little while, got me to Minispares but nearly stranded me in the middle of St Albans.  Just about nursed it home but here we go again, I'm fed up with not being able to trust the clutch.  It seemed to be working alright until I suddenly started struggling to engage gears, then it was alright for a bit, then it got bad again, went on like this for a while but now just doesn't work properly.  Had to keep blipping the throttle at junctions and pulling away in second as well as double declutching to try to select gears.  First was a joke to get in.  Nice way to treat a new clutch and gearbox.  Joy.

I thought it may have be something like the centre plate sticking on the primary gear splines but upon investigation the free play clearance (7/16" bolt) has increased to over 25 thou when it was set at 15 or 20 thou before so now more of the clutch linkage travel is being taken up doing nothing rather than moving the diaphragm.

I've reset the clutch adjustments and it hasn't got rid of the clutch drag.  I've still got over 1/2" movement at the slave cylinder but something really isn't working now.

Clutch wasn't stuck on splines at all but primary gear not turning properly on crank.  Time for a new thread.
