Hi,

I have recently obtained a 998 '77 clubman, the previous owner said the engine was swapped to a 1275 by minispeed.

Engine stamp has MS984 IE 01 13

I know they went bust a few years ago but it was rumored the engine builder was still putting engines together somewhere, does anyone know where they might be working?

I would like to get some proper back ground on the engine before diving straight in.. its rough as you like. Exhaust and Cam seem way too big and might have been after fitted by previous owner.

Got to work through the usual on carb, timing and electrics but this poor little A series is way out of whack.... just keeps up behind a lorry doing 60!  :)

Thanks, John.
