Hi,
Recently started work again on this Clubman I actually sourced a few years back.
It was heck of a bitsa...floor was three panels thick, Front sub was bent, braked towards traffic, accelerated towards the ditch.
Apparently has a minispeed 1275 engine but currently it is lumpy as hell and no pull. Fueling is shocking...
Over the last few years its had new floor, inner and outer sills, subframes and susp all stripped cleaned and painted.
Since it is in no way an original, happy to play about with it and it does not need to be kept standard...
Bodywork pretty much done and clean.
Electrics need reworking front to rear but wont be kept standard.
Interior is usable but rattly and could do with some TLC
Suspension has been overhauled and setup to a reasonable handling baseline.
Brakes...pretty much standard but new master... not exactly a hard pedal on those drums!
Engine should be a good base but I suspect previous owner has fiddled...spent the money on "add-on's" but not exactly set anything up.
Now she is a road runner (mostly) I can actually start to play with the more interesting stuff.
J.
