It could also be down to old repairs and poor alignment.
There really is no telling without looking at it.
So you say that the door rubs the body at the rear corner. Is the shut line tight all the way up?
How wide is the shut line at the front of the door?
When you open the door, does it physically drop down and when closing it does it slide up into the striker or close cleanly?
With regards to shims, adding another shim behind the bottom hinge would raise the door at the back but may cause rubbing elsewhere.
You may find that there is a shim behind the top hinge that doesn't need to be there.
If you let us know answers to the above and perhaps even upload a square on photo of the door in the closed position so we can see the shut lines, we may be able to give a more accurate answer.
