Just wondered if any of you guys out there running the s/c throttle body have fitted anything other than the itg foam filter they come with, i know they are for ultimate flow, but looking for something a bit quieter, some sort of top hat and remote filter. Thanks for looking.

The itg isn’t that loud to be honest, you’d loose the ram pipe which is designed for flow. Sort of defeats the object getting an Sc kit removing it.

Make a flange, weld a suitable diameter pipe on it with a generous bend and fit a remote filter. 1 big long ram pipe. Vizard has this inhis book as well.

Ive got soundproofing to both sides of the bulkhead, and at low to mid throttle its fairly tame, but 3/4 to full throttle its pretty loud, have spoke to s/c and they have gave me some tips which include keeping the ram pipe. I know some love the induction boom, but longer journeys can become tedious if over 3 and a half thousand revs. Thanjs guys for your feedback.

Building a plenum that bolts onto the SC ram pipe and running a remote filter down on the clutch housing or at the front of the engine would quieten it down.

I thought about doing it with my SC setup a while ago but the car ended up with a hif44 on it isn’t.
