Can someone give me a price guide on this please.
Came with a car my son bought, and he doesn’t have a use for it.
It’s not siezed!

Head is 12g940 and gearbox is 22g1832

Cheers. Mike.

"It is only worth what someone else is prepared to pay at the time that you want to sell it", and starting it at £1-00 on ebay will answer your question.

A previous owner must have loved it to have gone to the expense of boring it +.030", but it wasn't taken out of the car by a classic Mini enthusiast, because the clutch hydraulic pipe has been severed,

Engines were often removed from a scrapped cars, and at the recent NEC Classic Car Show, a friend reconed that there are now probably about 25% more Mini engines than actual Minis.

hard to say for sure but a short block for recon go for £250 (can be more, can be less) and entire engines like this, ready for rebuild, for £500-600.

Thanks for both the replies.

I would rather sell it on here than deal with the eBay muppets.

I will give it a clean and get some decent photos before putting it up for sale

Cheers.

Mike

You've advertised this on ebay as a Cooper S/ 1275GT engine. What information do you have that warrants that description? The block cast number just tells you that it is an A series 1275 block. I have a few of these and none are S or 1275GT. The head looks to be a standard 9 stud 12G940 1275 head.
