Yes i will try this first.I would see if you can slip the fingers around with a drift and a hammer. They may have slipped.
its been a while since i removed my clutch, and i cant think how it all goes together, if you undid the clucth cover bolts(removeing the pressure) then you would be able to spin the clucth plate, re align and tighten up to then be able to pull the flywheel.
