Is there any kind of label that you can put on a complete ht lead? Like a heat shrink that will stretch over the ends.

There is an Industrial type of Cable Marker, similar in appearance to these ^ but rather than a clip on, they are a band so they can't come off. Brady, Panduit and Critchly are all manufacturers of them. Of Course, it does mean taking an end off to fit them. Usually you can slide a boot off the Distributor end, and slide them up.

I've just checked some leads I've had made up and I can slide the dizzy end boot off, so I've ordered some 7mm yellow ones off ebay
