I bought a couple of new heater matrixes from Huddersfield spares a few months back as both of mine were on the way out. The first one reached leaking point and I changed it. I didn’t really know what I was going and took more apart than I needed to, so wasn’t surprised that I couldn’t move the blower across to car. It sits fine on off and screen, but won’t hold on car, just clicks back. Assumed I hadn’t put it back together right but hadn’t gotten around to taking it apart again when...

The second one reached leaking point. Now an expert I only took the side panel off as required, slotted the new one in, put it all back together. Now can’t slide across to put the blower on car...

Any ideas?

Both 1987 saloon minis.

Probably not located the air flap correctly when putting the side back on. There is a small boss on both side pieces that the ring on the top of the flap should locate with.
