Nearing the end of the Studio 2 rebuild but struggling on this. The pic shows that this cover plate didn't make the mark on the fabric and the plate doesn't even cover the mark left.Theres nothing remaining in the box of bits so I'm wondering what's happened. The lug positions are correct for the hole centres, just an illusion due to the plate being closer to camera

Oops, doubled up but to be fair it's a miracle I even managed to get them on, can't via a laptop

I won't try to remove any as they'll doubtless all dissappear !

They are just a push fit into the holes, they might not be  a snug fit anymore though.

Ok Alex thanks, yes they will push in and sort of stay put but the thing is, the marks left on the fabric were made by something other than the plates shown. But I can't think what

There are chrome after market ones available, maybe they are slightly different and it had those fitted at some point. There should be a plastic backing piece that fits behind the latch as well.

Any chance you can provide the dimensions of these plastic pieces?
