When you set the lost motion gap up is it normal for it to appear not setup once you turn off the ignition?

Everytime I go to adjust it again by pushing the throttle linkage to start the setup again the lost motion gap is as it should and don’t need to change anything.

Is this normal or is this a sign of a problem?

First pic is it adjusted and looking correct (in my mind anyway ?)
2nd pic is what it looks like when I switch off the ignition after the adjustment

I hear the stepper motor doing it’s thing ahead of the setup and again as the ignition turns off.

Thx

Well according to feedback on other groups, it looks like the answer is yes it's normal for the lost motion gap to change once you switch off the ignition...so all good here :)

Car seems happy enough too, which is always a bonus!

As far as I'm aware this is normal. When you push the throttle linkage the stepper moves out and you adjust the lost motion gap from that point. Once you turn the ignition off the stepper winds back in so the gap will change
