Hi,

As title suggests I have been searching for a Mk3/4 set of brown vinyl door cards, preferably with horizontal lines as shown in Newton Commercials link;

https://newtoncomm.c...ir-1970-to-1976

The Autumn leaf colour on their site looks remarkably similar to the colour I require, but having received one of their samples it’s a lot lighter and more beige than brown. I’m happy with a complete set but even just a drivers side front door card would complete my current ok but not perfect set. I’m happy to look at any brown vinyl door cards within reason, so please just send me what you have potentially on offer.

Also again having looked on Newton Commercials site, they don’t seem to offer a brown carpet set. I ideally want a complete 70’s set as the fibres are much courser and have larger loops, than the later 80’s alternative. It’s also slightly lighter in colour than the later version I believe.

As mentioned above I’m interested in whatever you may have that might fit the bill, so if you have anything remotely similar to what is described above let me know!

Thanks

Sounds like you might be looking for sorrel. Used on white and bracken mk3 from 1974-5.

It’s hard to come by.

I looked for a while before giving up and going with complete navy interior on my ‘74.

Contact Ed at Little Garage Classics in Halifax. I’m pretty sure has some Sorrel brown cards.

Thanks, I think you may be correct. I’ll be sure to ask Ed to see if he has anything suitable.

Take a look at this lot!

Not exactly what you were after but may be of use?

Thanks, I had spotted it on Facebook on Monday but he isn’t willing to deliver and it’s a fair distance away from me. But the way it seems, it may be the only option.

Now £50. You could get it collected by Shipley for not a lot.

I’ll ask if he’s willing to pack it for collection. Failing that I’ll have to keep looking, cheers!

Still looking for the above. Although Newton Commercials may have something suitable for the door cards, just waiting to see what they come up with. But the carpet may still be an issue.

Somerford do a brown carpet. I bought one ages ago for a mini Mayfair I once owned. It was good.

Thanks, I have seen that previously. May be worth a go but I’ll keep hunting to see if an original Leyland carpet pops up, probably pretty impossible to find now but who knows.

I think I have somewhere a set of brown door and rear quarter panels from an 80's base model if that's any use. But you'll have to wait until the new year for me to find them.

Hi,

I’m always interested, but I’d imagine they are a darker shade of brown than what I’m after. But if you are willing to find them I’d be interested to see what they are like.

Cheers

If CAU998 doesn't want them I could well be interested for the '86 car I'm working on.
