Mine are doing my head in. The little brackets are just thin sheet steel and bend if I so much as breath on them let alone brush against them. Really could do with sprung steel or thicker. If I can't find any decent ones, I'll be forced to make some!

Are these the mesh type you're looking for?

Dont think Landrover items will be of any use, there are sunstantial wire mesh "baskets" that fit to series landrovers these are galvanised steel and screw to the body with self tappers. Other than that the headlight covers are large enough to cover the headlight, indicators and sidelights and agan screw into the bodywork. The mesh versions that fit over 7" round headlights like the mini are most likely identical to what you have, The mini type ones look good initially but the chrome mesh rusts in time and the retaining clips are rubbish. If there were decent stainless steel versions they'd be worth paying extra for but I dont recall seeing any.

I'm on the same search, I've just bought a set of minispares stainless steel ones, they are terrible as per the photo . I'm trying to think of another method of fixing them to the car.
