Seems that not all radiators out there are the same size and vary in dimensions by quite a lot, and that includes the host of aftermarket ones too. Am in need of the dimensions of a classic mini radiator as fitted to minis from 1959 onward. I need the measurements to include from the highest point ie the top of the radiator cap to the lowest point on the bottom, and the very maximun width please. It is for an ongoing project and as it being front facing mounted, space is tight and limited.

thank you.

If you are front mounting the rad why use the side mounted Mini one? Why not use the front mounted Mini one.

Is it going in a mini?

A popular rad to put in the front of a mini is a Fiat cinquecento one. Will need a smaller alternator, smaller starter and no dizzy ideally though.

I have an alloy fiat one in mine. The standard ones work well though. Try to get a bar type rather than tube, the tubes seem less efficient.

Nice one !  done millions of searches but didn't see that one......... looks a little like the MPI rad which I have tried for size but the outlets are in the wrong place.

Still wouldn't mind anyone giving the dimensions of a normal mini rad tho !!

If you are front mounting the rad why use the side mounted Mini one? Why not use the front mounted Mini one.

If you mean the MPI one .have tried it,  the size is almost perfect, bit doubtful on the core thickness tho......looks very thin, however the outlets are just in the wrong place.

Where do you need the connections?
if the MPI and the fiat one are  both wrong.

cant help on the standard one but looked at many front mounts.

This is more for core dimensions rather than overall sizing - not sure if it's any help

Nice one thanks...much appreciated.

ADDED..........................................finally went to a radiator specialist in my local town, and he built me a bespoke 40mm alloy cored radiator form scratch in two days.......bargain at £100.
