I have had a couple of minis in the past (first car BHE919T, then TVV999R about ten years on), I’m feeling the urge to get another as a project to do up - but I don’t want a basketcase! I like older minis to be honest (with 10” wheels) and much prefer the look of external hinges and sliding glass. I’ve always promised myself a 998 Cooper...

Welcome :-) .. must admit I always wanted a Cooper 998 or of course any Cooper S of the 60's / 70's variety, but could never afford it... had to make do with numerous "normal" 998s that I used for racing albeit with a few modified 1275 lumps in them and ended up lumbered with a Van, Pickup and a 1275 GT.

Thanks.
I’m looking forward to reading more about others projects while I wait for mine. I’ll be reading back through my my old Vizard book “How to modify your mini”, it’ll be like turning back the clock 30 years!!

Which region do I need to be checking on the “Regions” part of the forum? I’m in Fenland (Eastern England), I’ve checked in the Midlands section, but can find nothing local.

Thanks all.
