Hi guys! Have you seen any Mini with engine adapted to use liquefied gas?
Any information or photo?
Regards, Luis
Back in the 80s I used to do the body repairs for a company that had a fleet of Mini Vans all running LPG.

As the Mini is such a small and light car, it's hardly worth it. It's not like a big heavy Range Rover or something, I would doubt it is worth the hassle or expense, plus these days it would be undesirable due to making the car unoriginal.

Yes, that's correct. Just I'm asking for a friend. He's very interested in this.

That link shows all the parts needed for an engine up to 150hp. As you can see there are a lot of bits and pieces to find a home for, other than the tank which is not included in the price,

Yes friend, I understand.
This guy fitted the LPG kit years ago. Should be nice to know more about his experience.

Why? Safer than our thin petrol tanks.I known it's not much worse than a petrol tank, but I definately wouldn't like the be hit from behind with that!
I can't claim to be an expert on any of this, but liquid petrol seems a lot safer in such an exposed place than compressed gas.
