Hi Everyone,

I'm currently in the process of ordering gaskets and other bids and bobs for my engine built and are wondering what head gasket to add to the list. From looking through the Mini Spares web site I'm currently considering either GUG702560HG or GEG300. Both are of different design and while GUG702560HG looks more like what you would expect for a modern (aluminium) engine, the A- series engine is not of a particular modern design (cast iron block and head).

Any thoughts?

Cheers from the Pied Piper's Town

I've found the AF470 more reliable than the BK450: http://www.minispare...|Back to search

BK450 If installed and run in correctly, are the best. Renowned for being great with the turbo mini lads ??

Except when they leak from the front (as looking at) of the engine.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you very much for all your input.

I take it that you are referring to this gasket:

Block and head have been refaced. Is there anything else to be considered to avoid what has been described as 'leak from the front' by nicklouse (or any other potential problems)?
