My name is Bob,  well into retirement - however thinking of updating my transport!  No,  not getting rid of the 1932 Austin 7,  but thinking of selling the 1962 LHD Citroen 2CV van and buying a MK II.

My first mini cost £180 when I was about 20, that was a '62 Mk I - written off when stolen.  Not quite true as the first car was an 1937 Austin 7 Ruby which cost a princely 5 quid. My second was a MK II (early model) which we ran for about 180,000 miles before moving to an Alegro (square wheel !!).  At the time, my wife also had an older MkI, Dad another MkII and later our son had another 3 mini Clubmans (one with nitrous injection). Oh yes,  daughter had a MkII as well,  so we did know a bit about them.

You all know they have a certain charm about them, and when the 2CV goes, the search will really start - nothing too racey, original preferred and living in France LHD.

Well,  that's me,  hope to be posting soon.

Bob
