Morning mini forum

The car

95 SPI with specialist components throttle bodies and Delta 400 ECU

Problem

Just rebuilt the engine and dropped it back in and there is no ignition light and the fuel pump is not priming

Taking the engine out and putting back in obviously disturbs the wiring, but all the plugs have gone back together in teh corerct place

I've checked the earth straps on the engine and in the boot and tried a jump lead straight from the battery to teh engine to check, but no joy

I've checked all the fuses in the fuse box above the clutch master cylinder and they are ok. I've had a visual check behind the fuse box and can't see anything obvious

Battery is charged and the wipers and hazards work when i turn the ignition to the fist position, but no fuel pump priming and no lights on the dash nor indicators

Everything worked fine before the engine came out (apart from the engine !), so not sure what's changed

The large relay on the servo has some corrosion on the PCB and i've been meaning to change it, but it's been like that for 3 years, so not sure that is the issue

Anything obvious for me to check before i have to bring in a specialist?

regards

Rich

Do the wipers and hazards work when you turn the ignition to the second position?

If not, that might be your problem.

Try disconnecting the ignition key switch and checking it, first.

Spraying some ACF50 into it and working it repeatedly might (just might) revive it.
