What is the correct head for a 1098cc engine? Is it a 12G202??

I have a friend who has just picked one up as a spare but it's fitted with a 2A629 which is off a 948cc engine!

PS I have checked on Keith Calver's website and list but it doesn't mention many 1100 engines! https://www.calverst...casting-number/

TIA!

Err .. we knew the 2A629 was wrong .. I asked if a 12G202 was the right one but the Somerfield site confirms that ..

Most had the 12G202 Head. The Autos had the 12G295.

There is actually 2 versions as built up, of the 12G202 head. The 997 Cooper also shared the same casting but had ever so slightly larger Exhaust Valves (almost academically so).

I mention this because if you fit an 1100 Inlet Valve in to a 997 Cooper Head it will be recessed, which is not ideal.
