Morning,

I'm about to get my newly built engine back to swap my 998cc 1982 city, and need some advice on which distributor to get.

It was an MG Metro 1275 and is now a newly built 1380cc with ported and polished head (Rob Walker Engineering - although he has sold the business now). I've got a HIF44 carb to go on it with a BBC needle.  He suggests a vacuum advance, essentially this is for a fast road use not racing.

Thanks

Send it off to AC Dodd and get him to recurve and overhaul it
