I actually remember the launch of the Metro very well.
A couple of days after it was launched I went for a looksee at Kennings Tenter Street branch in Sheffield. I remember i had a bad back and struggled to get into the driver's seat.
I must have liked it because I bought 4 of them over the years

I want another turbo.

A friend of mine had a Diesel Metro that went surprisingly well, but it didn't have an A series engine.
