Ok i decided to pick up a new Mig so i can keep and stainless and mild steel work separate

well i finally commissioned this one..

holy hell it is easy. well when you workout what volts and Amps and inductance you need. it sorts out the wire speed automatically.

might need to get a book so i understand what the dials actually do. but with a bit of tweeking left and right i got some fair welds but i am sure with the right settings it would be amazing.

coming from an old one where you just had wire speed and power controls this is night and day.

it also came with air line couplings for the gas. nice idea makes switching between welders easy when they use the same gas.

might get and other new mig and retire the old Snap On one.

Adjustable inductance? We've got some big welders in work, but I've never seen that before. What's it for?

Damn good question. Not worked it out yet. I do like the separate wire feed button.

I think it varies the power during welding to compensate for distance variation, material resistence and material heat.
Helps to not blow holes.

...or I might be completely off. ?
