Watched it over the last few evenings ..

Bill recommends the ball bearing rather than the original oil pressure shuttle ..

Did chuckle when I saw them putting the sump plug back .. after filling it with new 20/50 ...

I have watched my DVD versions several times and has helped me plan and start my Engine strip and rebuild.

Yes there are a couple of funny buts and mistakes, you never do see the Flywheel come off, even after he massively bigged up his Hydraulic Flywheel puller :-)

He also uses Engine Oil on the rebuild as opposed to Build Lube (Personal Preference I guess).

I also love that it's filmed in his 'big' shed at the bottom of the garden and has the missus calling him in for his dinner during filming. Big respect to Bill Sollis and the Mini Films crew, beats all the American super clean super cool workshop videos hands down!!

Would anyone have anything to add or does Bill cover everything?

There are a couple of gaps .. I'd have to watch it again to remind myself where though .. I know he didn't show checking cam end float and I'm not convinced, from posts here, that the ball bearing oil pressure relief is the right choice.

But the gaps can be filled here!! Great resource ...

I've heard some people prefer to use engine oil rather than assembly lube, especially if the engine will be started and run soon after assembly.

I'd also recommend the videos by classicminidiy. He has done a couple of engine builds

The most important thing is to keep the workspace clean, clean every part like your life depends on it, measure, check, and ask questions if you get stuck

Does mini engine builds called loan wolf in think.
He's really good
Does them in his own garage /shed
