Welcome to the forum. Rome, very nice. Visited two years ago and loved it. So you're not driving it to Southern Germany for this year's!?! ?
I've driven my car as far as the Italian lakes, but it was in summer and I just couldn't go any further south as it was so so hot!

We were in Rome just after New Year and really enjoyed it. We saw a few classic Mini's knocking about. I would love to drive mine in Italy one day. Welcome to the forum.
